ISTE and the Metiri Group are very excited to offer the Digital Learning Pathways, based in the 2016 ISTE Standards for Students. These pathways help educators deepen their classroom practice to transform learning for the digital age. Each course is:
  • Convenient: Accessible 24/7 on any device, and available for an entire year.
  • Research-based: All content is driven by best practices from learning science research.
  • Uniquely structured: Determine your learning path based on preference, previous knowledge and available time.
  • Practical: Each course includes lesson plans, learning scenarios, and on-ramps to scaffold implementation that span age ranges, content areas and tech access levels. Also included is a professional learning community (PLC) guide and a rubric.
  • Recognition: Earn a certificate and badge when you pass the final assessment.
The first course, Empowered Learner, is available now and Digital Citizen and Knowledge Constructor are coming later this year. Find the content at istestandardspd.org or contact standards@iste.org for more information or to learn about bulk/group pricing for school or district teams.

Hi everyone,

I started this course a couple weeks ago and it has been really helpful so far. I really like how it's self-paced, as I tend to start online courses and MOOCs, and then have trouble finishing within the designated time.

I have very much enjoyed the learning in this first module.  Wondering what the timeline for release of the upcoming modules is?  I can't wait to continue learning deeper about the ISTE standards.  Thanks!

Hi Sara and All - Glad you're enjoying the Empowered Learner course! The plan is to have Digital Citizen and Knowledge Constructor available around our conference this June with the others to follow from there.
