I am an Instructional Technology Coach after having spent eleven years in the classroom. I taught high school English, advised the Student Council, 4-H Club, and the Students Against Destructive Decision Chapter. I also coached the swim team. In 2010, my co-workers chose me to represent them as the Teacher of the Year. Because I have fond memories of my time at my alma mater, I am a member of the University of West Georgia's Alumni Association. I enjoy giving back to my college and interacting with the students on campus. If it weren't for my time on campus and my extracurricular activities, I would not be the person I am today.
I am a Google Certified Educator Level 2 and a Google for Education Certified Trainer. I have presented at local, state, and international conferences on topics ranging from social media usage, Google Apps for Education, digital storytelling, Chrome Apps and Extensions, and online professional development.
I currently am a disaster volunteer for the American Red Cross and a volunteer for my local Boy Scout Council.
