I saw this graphic (http://edutech4teachers.edublogs.org/2015/01/26/technology-integrator-graphic/) this morning that asked, "What Type of Technology Integrator Are You?" I thought it was interesting that they used the metaphor of a pencil to make their point.

    Lisa,
I always like to believe that I'm a 'lead'er, but then I get around those who really are, and feel more like wood. In any case, the pencil goes reasonably far in describing the types of connected educators out there, but leaves out the 'markers', as in, 'those who leave a mark that others can see'. Perhaps not in transformative ways, but to me that is the ultimate goal!

    Cool graphic!

I agree that it is interesting that they chose a pencil.  I was at a statewide conference several years ago that focused on technology and all participants received a binder as a participation gift.  On the other hand...it can be interpreted and understood by everyone - techy or not - so perhaps the purpose was to reach the comfort level of everyone.
