Hello Rosendo. I am the K-12 Program Director for the non-profit organization Quality Matters (QM). We have a research library on our website where you can find lots of articles that have been vetted by our Research Colleagues. Our K-12 Rubric for course design is supported by research, and you can find the latest literature review there as well. In addition, we have partnered with the Virtual Learning Leadership Alliance to revise the National Standards for Online Teaching, Courses, and Programs. They are also supported by research, and you can find the literature reviews on that Resources page, as well. Please let me know if I can help you in any other way.
    Best,
    ~ Chris Voelker

    Hi Rosendo,
    I recommend the following articles:

The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning website is a great resource: http://www.irrodl.org/index.php/irrodl

I have many more articles I could share via email as needed (torrey@umass.edu)

Have you tried Google Scholar? You can find research articles on any topic.  And there are settings to limit to Peer reviewed, etc.  You might try researching Transactional Distance Theory.

I would recommend Google Scholar as well, I used it for my Graduate school and it was very useful for vetted research articles. https://scholar.google.com/

    Hi Rosendo,

I recommend using the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) curated Teacher Resources which offers articles and professional learning for distance learning. This collection has been updated to include an article on Teacher Preparation for Remote Teaching and the Edublogger's Resources for Teaching Online Due to School Closures. Please do not let it being a "blog" turn you away from reading it as the blogger has the proper credentials for a scholarly article.

Here are a couple of links that may be helpful for you.
This is a webinar prepared by Michigan Virtual, which is a state-supported online supplemental educational resource (not an online school) focuses on accommodations, modifications and how to do this in an online environment.
This is a resource from Quality Matters around accommodations and online learning.
Both are really solid, helpful resources.

    Hi Rosendo,
The US Dept. of Education recently listed the study, "A Meta-Analysis and Review of Online Learning Studies", a peer-reviewed Evaluation of Evidence-Based Practices in Online Learning. The study identifies more than a thousand empirical studies of online learning.
