The ISTE Certification for Educators is a high quality professional certification for motivated educators wishing to transform teaching and learning with digital technologies. Using a blended learning model, you will participate in both face to face and online learning. You will complete four modules of learning activities over an eight week period with instructor assistance. Then you will have six months to assemble an eportfolio for review by the ISTE Certification Team.
This unique certification is based on the ISTE Standards for Educators. A cohort of dedicated educators will rethink and redesign learning activities with technology to empower and engage students in authentic and active learning.
ISTE Certified Educator Course
Sign up for a training with METC
Complete an eight week blended learning course consisting of:
- Pre-learning activities & a pre-assessment (1-2 hours)
- Two-day training onsite (12 hours)
- Online learning activities within four modules (12-20 hours)
- Two virtual connections - mid-course & culminating celebration (1-2 hours)
*Note: Attendees may move along the course at a slower or faster pace by one‐two weeks
After completion of online course, prepare and submit an eportfolio of aligned artifacts within six months. Portfolio will be reviewed by ISTE Certification Evaluators.
Educators who successfully meet certification requirements will be awarded an ISTE Certified Educator Endorsement.
