Sustainability is a global issue that requires a global response, including a fundamental shift in the way we think about and interact with the environment, society and economy. Project-based learning (PBL) is a powerful tool for creating a pool of global citizens committed to creating a better future for all, providing individuals with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to engage in sustainable practices. PBL can help build a shared understanding of the challenges facing the world and the interconnectedness of social, economic and environmental issues. By promoting global citizenship, education can foster a sense of responsibility for the well-being of the planet and its inhabitants.
