The Center on Inclusive Technology and Education Systems empowers school districts to create and sustain inclusive technology systems that serve all students, including those who require assistive technologies. To do this, families must be placed at the center. This session emphasizes how meaningful engagement with families can support the creation of an inclusive education ecosystem. You’ll learn from examples of parents/guardians who joined school teams to move the needle in collaborative planning, putting students first to ensure equitable access to learning opportunities. We’ll also touch on system-level strategies and practitioner strategies for fostering authentic family engagement.
