A bias toward action characterizes my pathway in education. I thrive when exploring and sharing compelling narratives around relevant content, progressive initiatives, and community building. With a graduate degree in curriculum design and fourteen years’ experience in the classroom, I know the power of a well-crafted story to fuel innovative and authentic learning. My proudest teaching accomplishments include building trust with entire learning communities to attempt big changes in curriculum programming and innovative technology integration. I also had the exciting privilege to serve as a founding teacher at a brand new elementary school where our tightly-knit community established a vision of connection, creativity, and excellence. I have been in just the right place, at just the right time, to witness gifted and compassionately driven principals, professors, community organizers, teachers, cohort peers, thought leaders and families dedicated to honoring and preparing diverse young learners for a future filled with creativity, critical thinking, dynamic communication, and collaboration.
