I serve as Director of Instructional Technology for the Rutland City Public Schools in the Green Mountain State of Vermont. My experience includes teaching at the middle school level, serving as a technology coach and finally technology director in both Middlebury and Rutland, Vermont. I earned a B.A. in Economics from SUNYA, a M.Ed. in Middle Education and a M.Ed. in School Administration from James Madison University. I hold a VT endorsement as a teacher, principal and superintendent. Serving as the recent past-president of the Vermont ISTE Affiliate Vita-Learn (and on that board for six years) prepares me to be a state-wide leader.
Innovating in our Maker and STEAM Spaces, working with Google products, and intensely exploring K12 Artificial Intelligence are my passion. I love all things ISTE—conferences, workshops, publications, ISTE U and PLNS. During the 2019 winter, I landed in the first cohort of both the Digital Leadership Summit and the GM sponsored AI Explorations and Their Practical Use in Schools--and highly recommend both experiences.
I am passionate about collaboration with colleagues across Vermont and the globe. I look forward to working with you.
