Jennifer L. Freedman (@jlf74) is the Library Media Specialist/Education Technology Specialist at Lindenhurst Middle School where her primary focus is providing the school community with a safe environment for tinkering, creating, researching, and reading. Believing that positive change in the LMC means positive change for all teachers and students, she is always seeking out new challenges, opportunities, and partnerships. She recently co-authored the article “School Librarians Level Up! Transform Your Teaching by Unpacking the AASL Standards Framework and Implementing Shared Foundation V: Explore” for Knowledge Quest, a journal for the American Association of School Librarians and presented at ISTE 2019. She was recognized by Western Suffolk BOCES as the School Library Media Specialist of the Year in 2017 having been nominated by her peers, administrators and students. Ms. Freedman earned her MLS in 2010 and is currently pursuing an advanced diploma in School Leadership and Technology.
